A great time for a non-fashionista!
For my best friend’s first visit to NYC, she recommended we do the Soho/Nolita shopping tour. Though I am not really a fashion kind of girl (more of a clean clothes & do they fit kind of girl)…I am a shopper so I was all in! Unfortunately the Soho/Nolita tour was cancelled, however we were offered the Garment Centre Insider tour. Somewhat leery upon arrival in my running shoes, yoga pants and t-shirt…the most under-dressed of all participants…thought my hard-earned cash would stay in my wallet!
Turned out to be a good thing that we were moved to the Garment Centre tour, as both my friend and I were able to find things we liked…and bought! The deals were amazing!! Our guide, Melanie was simply fantastic! She was fun, attentive and interesting. It was a great way to spend the morning and see a side of NYC that I am sure most people never see! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this tour to any one who is interested in shopping, saving money, or having a great time.
