The most interesting and least known streets are the most Eastern ones ( we are talking almost at the Williamsburg bridge) A couple of hours on Norfolk Street (between Delancey and Rivington)

THE BACKROOM(SPEAKEASY): backroomnyc.com. Dark and moody – good for snuggling – with a truly precarious entrance leading to 1930’s prohibition themed spot. All cocktails served in tea cups.
