Today in the circle of Broadway and Film, costumes are the epicenter of excitement and compelling delight. Where does the process begin? What elements are needed? This program showcases the wardrobing process, taking students both behind- the-scenes to design studios and to private industry-only shops for an enlightening costume production overview that can only be found in NYC.
As the newest addition to our specialty group programs, the Costume and Theater Design experience commences in March and can be booked year-round. Let us take you and your students on an educational experience into the costume design, theater and performance realms of New York City. Our guides, designers and industry experts will explain the entire costuming process from initial concept to concluding stage/film.
A custom shopping program took place this past Saturday in Soho. The Student Group Tour consisted of 500 students from over the world. This 4 hour tour commenced in the West Village, the historical NYC hub for music and home to the rock/folk movement of the 60’s and 70’s. Our students learned about historical landmarks, cast iron architecture, historical music venues, and major musicians and artists of that time. This tour also included a meet and greet with fashion and jewelry designers, exclusive shopping discounts at our partner stores in SoHo, as well as the exploration of the beautiful and unique Soho/Nolita neighborhoods.
